About the Book
A Time to Bloom is a collation of Lisa's experiences, observations and reflections that have been touched and inspired by the divine nature of Almighty God. The reader can expect an open, yet thought provoking demonstration of acknowledgement and love for God. A record is made of life's successes, failures, joys and disappointments. The over-all realisation is that God is in control of the life that is submitted to Him, even when all seems lost!
The pieces in this first publication were recorded over a period of years, with a first public recital of “Warfare” in 2001 at a School of Ministries graduation ceremony. Other public recitals include “Year of the Redeemed” in 2005 at an Anniversary Service, and “Not a Rehearsal” in 2009 at a Memorial Service.
As you stream through the pages of this book, the words have the power to propel you toward a relationship with God, as you reflect and consider your own life in light of these records of truth. The language is simple, yet the thoughts go deep. There is an inspired word for everyone and it is this: A Time to Bloom!
About the Author
Lisa D. Evans is St. Lucian by birth and presently studies full-time in England. She is the ninth of her father’s twelve children and always had a passion for writing. Her talent was uncovered by Bishop Emmanuel Mc. Lorren of St. Lucia. It was from this discovery that Lisa began to work toward a compilation of her pieces, which were developed through the back-drop of orphan hood. Almighty God became Lisa’s Father and this is when her new life began.
Her style of writing is particularly influenced by the rhyming thoughts, rhetorical questions and introspective ideas of the books of Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes of the Holy Bible. Lisa enjoys encouraging others to reach their God-given potential and does so mostly one to one. Now, she can encourage many without physically being with them. The experiences of those treasured moments are penned and waiting for one.
Her desire is that through the reading of these poems, many would come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, experience the glory of His love, and live in the peace of His promises.
