But today is the day I am about to find out where that mentality has landed me. I am in the waiting room at a private family planning clinic. I took the tests one week ago. Tests to find out if I have caught it, it being one of the most feared disease in the world: AIDS, among other things. In my mind I cannot help ask myself whether or not I deserve to be seating in here today. Did I make the wrong choices along the way? Of course I did. Plenty of them. But after all I am only 24 years old. And I could go on with a list of people who have done a lot worse and are still alive and healthy. Was it at all fair that I find myself in this position at my age? I guess most people that know me will answer yes to that question but that is to be expected when you walk in my shoes. My thoughts are suddenly cut short as hear doors opening and closing and footsteps approaching where I was seated. My heart is pounding so hard I wonder if it would just pop out suddenly. I did promise myself that I would not be nervous but I guessed that when you find yourself in a situation like this , you just cannot help it...

About the Author
Writing is her first love and being a young woman, she believes through it, she can reach her generation, and specially the next ones, exposing them to a different way of making it, and advancing forward, other than the decadence often seen in our society, and portrayed on our TV screens. Reading or writing should not be a lost art or love or passion. There is nothing more invigorating than the ability to create, imagine a whole set up, someone's life, a country, experiences through well written lines. Currently, she is working on a new manuscript THE SET UP.
