Dr. Thaddeus Corrington was contently exhausted. Tonight he was rewarded a noble peace prize in Neuroscience Technology. All his years of hard work and schooling had paid off. He had a masters in medicine, a B.A. in Computer science and a doctorate in psychiatry. Thaddeus knew himself, he was nothing short of a genius. He felt like he was the most important man in the world right now. Thaddeus had created a micro-computer chip that could be inserted into the brain at the base of the brain stem. The chip would be placed in between the mid-brain and the spinal cord. It’s designed to send a virtual transmission to the cerebellum of the extremities. The chip would be activated when the patient would make an attempt to move their limbs. It’s the mind’s way of fooling the body. This is also used along with alternative medicine. The mind healing the body simply by thinking, and virtually doing. Thaddeus also uses hypnosis with his patients. Lets say the patient was paralyzed by an unfortunate accident. Dr. Corrington would then hypnotize the patient back to the time before the accident occurred. This procedure is designed to encourage the patient to relive or imagine themselves walking, running or any pastime, that required the usage of their paralyzed limbs. The patient would do this, and along with the virtual projection of their limbs actually moving, sometimes the mind would over power the body. Maybe there is only the slightest, faintest move at first, but that achievement alone can take what seems like eons to come about. When Thad first thought of this amazing idea, he had no inkling he could actually make it work, but at age thirty five he had achieved what most people couldn’t even dream of. By the time he had worked out most of the bugs and kinks in the program, there were plenty of willing participants wanting to attain just a little of what they had lost or never had. The hospital that was lucky of enough to have Dr. Corrington was called North Desoto General Hospital. The hospital had to come up with an idea on how to pick the patients. Dr. Marshall Waller, Chief of Medicine, came up with the idea to pick from the most elite patients, meaning only those that had the best insurance. But only brown nose wanna-bees agreed with him. Waller is somewhat of an unscrupulous, money-hungry nit wit. The hospital had lost over fifty million dollars in lawsuits of malpractice and discrimina

He was married to a beautiful woman, who had stuck by his side through all their ups and downs, and she was pregnant with their first child.
