About the Book

"By Here" is a story in pictures that shows the recent change to our landscape across the country due to the closure of small railroad lines.  It might seem a sad thing, the end of an era, but the story reveals something different.  The tracks have been reclaimed by nature and now provide safe and peasant places for people to hike.  It shows all times of the day and seasons of the year, knitted together by the old train's tracks. 

About the Author

Widely travelled, Dianne E. Nelson is a teacher and an artist as well as a writer.  She presently lives in the "Deep South" of the Northwest Territories in Canada, in the hamlet of Fort Liard.
