About the Book

About the Author

I am the last of seven children born to Elisabeth De Caprio Daddio and to Joseph Daddio.

I am the father of five children and one adopted child and as of this date I have four grandchildren.

It is because of my children and grandchildren that I am writing this book. My children and grandchildren know little about their grandparents, their uncles and aunt or about the road that I have traveled.

I hope that this biography serves as a written legacy of my life.

The book is an accurate account of real life happenings and places that have had an impact on shaping my life.

First, it deals with the ghetto of Meadville, Pennsylvania where I was born.

Second, it describes my life in a household of eleven people and my relationship with my stepmother who showed no love or affection towards the Daddio children stirring in me wanderlust to leave home, to travel, and to experience life throughout the world.

Third, it tells of my love of the game of golf and a life that gave me opportunities to play the sport throughout the world and eventually to become a PGA teaching professional.
