It was the day of the Tickle Topps village fete, Winnie Windmill and her best friend Rosie Teapot were very excited, there would be clowns, magicians, a bouncy castle and a fun fair. ! Winnie wore her special windmill clogs and Rosie her favourite tea dress, “we’ll have a super day” smiled Winnie, “let’s call on Wally Scarecrow”, and off they went.

About the Book
Winnie Windmill is very unique! Not only does she have a lovely pair of windmill sails perched on top of her head, Winnie has a special pair of wooden windmill clogs, which when asked nicely, will help go towards solving a problem or helping Winnie on her way. Winnie sings a little song to her clogs, and everyone gasps in amazement as the magic windmill dust whooshes through the air, and then, somehow, a solution is found to whatever small problem there is. Winnie has lots of friends including Rosie Teapot, Tilly Toaster, and Wally Scarecrow. Come along and see what adventures Winnie and her friends get up to, and let us not forget the all important magic wooden clogs!
About the Author
Kate’s earliest memory is being immersed in a book! Pop-up books were particular favourites, along with the classics of The Princess And The Pea, Cinderella, and (when she finally decided to grow up), Pride and Prejudice and other Jane Austen books. When the idea of Winnie Windmill came to her, Kate fell in love with Winnie immediately, and set out to create the happy, carefree, reading books that she used to so happily get lost in as a child. Drinking lots of tea and chomping on chocolate also helped Kate on her creative way!
