Isolated

Earlier that evening, a beat up white panel van, with blacked out windows, turned onto Hwy 53 off of 68, in Kenton Ohio, and headed north. Inside 4 men, all dressed in black, prepared themselves for an undercover mission. What they were doing, they weren’t quite sure. The van is filled with a lot of electronic surveillance equipment, and one box that they were told not to open until they were told to.

The 4 men were recruited by two very strange looking men wearing black everything, even their hats. And the car that they drove up in was black. They told the men that they would pay them a very substantial amount of money if they would do this one thing for them, and say nothing to anyone about it. All of the men, being basically street kids, agreed to the terms, and did everything that they were told.

Thursday, June 20, 2002, late evening, Harden County, Grant Ohio. Salina Thomson, an elderly black woman, living alone, sits in her living room, watching her TV when she looses reception.

“What the heck?" She says to herself, as she looks up and sees that the antenna's gone. Surprised by this she turns to walk back into the house, and gets the whiff of an awful smell. A very musty smell, very strong. She scrunches up her nose, bugs out her eyes, and takes a quick look around the yard, but doesn't see anything out of the ordinary, other than her antenna being gone.
