After a while, I become bored with watching the ocean. I decide to pull out my pencil and small pad of paper and draw a picture. I put my hand into my bag and search around for my things. I push my fingers towards the bottom of my bag, and my fingers brush up against something soft and fuzzy. I don’t remember owning anything that feels like that! I pull my hand out quickly and peer inside my bag. I see something move around but I can’t tell what it is. I shake my bag around a little bit and look again. This time I see a little brown mouse high tail it under Tootsy’s head. I reach inside the bag and carefully remove my Tootsy. Underneath the doll are three little brown mice; all shaking with fear.
I put my hand over my mouth and stifle a gasp. “Hello little mouse family!” I whisper quietly.
“Hello.” To my amazement, one of them answers back!
