Then, John did something unpredictable. Just before the ball of burning fury hit its mark, John turned into a body of pure electricity. The mass of energy disappeared as quickly as it formed. A blue shockwave pulsed through the ground and up the boots of the metallic soldier. Aries froze from the thousands of volts of electricity that were blowing through his body. As Aries was being electrocuted, a blue phantom emerged from the ground behind him. It was John. He was being re-assembled by electricity.

About the Author
Jonathan Lopez has always had a unique vision of the impossible. Since he was very young he created stories in his head and retold them to his friends and family. Jonathan’s family first noticed his wild imagination and creativity when he introduced them to his imaginary friend, who joined Jonathan on his wild adventures in his imaginary worlds. His imagination and creativity finally came into focus when he read his first comic book. Reading comic books and graphic novels tuned Jonathan’s mind into a whole new world of struggling heroes, menacing villains, and breathtaking circumstances. Though he enjoyed reading about his favorite heroes week after week, no heroes possessed qualities he wanted to see. That is when he began thinking up, and writing about his own stories, heroes, and villains. He has received several awards in high school for his creative short stories. During his senior year in school, he started his first project, Elements Of War. After graduating high school, he completed the first installment in the trilogy, and began working on the second. As a young writer, Jonathan hopes his stories will one day be as well known as the comics he reads.
