About the Author
When Sonny was 11 or 12 years old his mother, who did not enjoy good health, said to him "if you don't cook, we don't eat". Necessity, being the mother of invention (and wanting to eat), motivated him to learn how to cook. Little did the youth "Sonny" know that cooking would continue to be a major interest as "Sandy" the adult and even today as "Grampy".
Sandy's motivation for this book came with the realization that when his grandchildren had a need or desire for cooking he may not be around to provide them the many recipes that were passed down to him by his mother, 2 grandmothers and many friends and acquaintances.
When a good friend asked Sandy for his secret recipe for Lobster Newburg to serve at a party she was giving (to which he had not been invited), he grudgingly provided it (less the ingredient that turned the sauce pink), She remained a good friend, said it tasted great, but looked funny. Now he is willing to share his many recipes with you.
