The next breath Caden took stopped him in his tracks literally paralyzing him. He smelled something sweet, something he’s been craving for his whole life, his mate. She was here in the store, he eyes darted left and right searching for her. His body reacted immediately to her scent. His heart rate sped up and he felt his penis start to swell with anticipation. He turned heading in the opposite direction, making a right down the aisle. She wasn’t in this aisle but she was close, so close. He stopped again with the next breath he took; her scent hit him like a slap in the face, the sweetness of it. As he rounded the front of the aisle he stopped dead in his tracks as his eyes rested on the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen. His groin ached with need so much it scared him, he knew he could get aroused but this feeling came with a bit of pain. There she was, five-eight in height, slim figure, with a tan a little darker than his. Her chocolate brown hair was straight and pulled back in a tight ponytail the ends reaching past the mid section of her back almost touching her waist. She wore blue jeans that accentuated her hips and slim figure, her shirt brown, it matched her hair almost perfectly. It was short sleeved and went up like a turtle neck around her neck. The shirt showed off her long torso and high breast. His pants grew tighter just thinking about her breast. He wanted to walk up to her carry her out of the store and make love to her somewhere. Anywhere, it didn’t matter as long as he could claim her, mark her. She smiles at a little girl and Caden realized it was the same little girl that had smile at him. He took an unsteady breath as he rested his eyes back on his mate. She was in deep thought; he saw her staring absentmindedly at the floor. He wanted to know what she was thinking about. What her skin tasted like what she tasted like? How it will excite her when he’ll bury his face between her thighs and taste her. He felt his beast stir; it writhed within him, smelling her scent. It wanted to claim her, trap her beneath him, thrust in and out of her wetness, while calling his name, make her beg for more, to go deeper. See the sweat glisten all over her body, watch the excitement play across her face as she would cum, see all types of emotions flow over her face, bury his seed so deep inside her, make her part of him. “What’s wrong?” Colonel Blackwell asks approaching him on his right. He turns to look at Jon and saw a shocked expression on the man’s face. “Your eyes?” he whispers. Caden looks away from him and back at her, his breath damn near stopped as he noticed her eyes on him. She had felt him staring, sought him out. Her eyes were a light hazel color with a hint of green; they must look amazing in the Sunlight. She was beautiful, perfect for him. “It’s not me” he growls “My beast, it wants her” “Ok well I don’t understand what that means but we need to move” Jon says pulling on his arm. Caden heard his beast growling, it didn’t want to leave, it didn’t want to let her out of its sight. “Are you growling at me?” Jon says in a whisper. “No I’m growling at you” Caden answers in a deeper voice than his own. “She is my mate I cannot leave”

There is a killer on the loose, Isis thought she was done being a profilier. When her boss calls her out of the blue and begs her to be on the case, she had no option but to say yes. However along the way the case turns out to be more than they thought. Something was terribly wrong. As her team runs around trying to find the killer Isis meets someone unexpectingly. Who was this guy who could look at her and make her insides melt?
The first time Caden saw her everything screamed Mate. His scenses tingeled and emotions woke within him that he never knew exsisted. Then when he gets called to work a case, there she was. While fighting back the needs of his beast he has to find a way to work with her on the case and not reveal what he is. Could he do it? Could he be the cop he always wanted to be and get Isis to trust him? Could he make her see that he couldn't live without her?

Hello to all future readers, My name is Deanna Brown. First off I would like to say that writing is and always has been my passion in life. Ever since I could remember I have wanted to become a published author. When I was younger I started writing short stories and as I got older and my vocabulary got more advanced they became novels. My mother would always ask me to read my stories and I always told her no, reason being because I was in fifth grade writing about sex and love. At the time I felt a little embarassed about my writing. What people thought of what I wrote mattered a great deal to me so as a result of that I only let my friends and siblings read them. My friend used to tell me that she would have loved to see movies made out of the things that I wrote. My twin sister would get mad when she would read a story and it wasn't finished. I was known for that. In the middle of one story I would get an idea about another and immediately would start a brand new story. Growing up I met a very dear friend of mine in high school who loved writing as much as I did and together we wrote stories and made citations about each others work. She helped me develop my vocabulary more and told when she liked or didn't like something. Especially if the facts were wrong. Til this day we are still friends. This is my first published novel w/ many more to come. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you.
