Chesney’s Parasitic Load Test This test was designed to easily diagnose a parasite draw on automotive batteries while the vehicle is not running. The multi-meter needs to be set to the ohms position (this procedure cannot be used with analog ohm meters, a digital volt ohm meter must be used).
