About the Book

Maria, is about a twelve year old girl that on a cold winter night with her dad helps those in need.On that winter night it would change her way of thinking and life itself. She and her two best friends become close to the local children at the Orphanage .

Maria sets out to take on the elementary school board to make a dream come true for someone that she cares about. She shows love and compassion to all she meets.

About the Author

Born and raised in Anderson, S.C. I have had the opportunity to travel many place's in the United States and in Europe. I lived in Berlin Germany for three years. Although their culture was so different from our's I found it to be very exciting. It has always been a dream of my to write children's books. Like most people we put our dreams to the side for fear of failing. Now for the past twelve years, I have worked as a Social Worker at a local Nursing Home. I find that to be rewarding in itself. My husband and I adopted two sweet little girls in 2000 they are my gift from God. If you have a dream please go for it. You will never know what doors will open for you if you don't try. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I have enjoy writing it.
