DISHES
The bible doesn't say if Jesus did them
It does teach that His life was for service
I am not asking you to do something I don't
There is no reason to cry or be nervous
We all make this mess together everyday
And together we can get it done in minutes
Yes it is boring and done over and over again
But still there is no cause for all those resentmenta
The alternative is to eat off the ground with our fingers
Even then we would have to mop the floor
So to eat one has to work also it seems
Jesus asks of us no less and no more
To continue on we must abide by the law
Here in this house we make the rules
It is our job to teach you the basics of life
So you will not be thought of as fools
It need not be done with a giggle and smile
A ditch digger smiles when he's finished the chore
And when his reward is in his task well done
He knows his treasure in Heaven is more
So don't abuse Jesus' name around me
When I need you to follow my wishes
I am not asking you to wash my stinking feet
I am asking you to wash the dishes
