About the Book

'how gods make love' is a flamingly and yet aptly titled repertoire of poetry; some rhyming; others outrageously discolored while others wind down roads of passion and downright outlandish humor. All in all, there is just something special about reading these odes, musings and pleas to countless women - all the time wondering what life events inspired them. But maybe, you are probably much safer not necessarily knowing the whole truth!

Not all the poems are about love, though. Some dwell on 'tough love' subjects like race, the art of being human or even, a fly on the wall. Broken down into somewhat standoffishly titled chapters, this is a collection you may want to keep with you for a rainy day when you want to read something that might be familiar - and yet is a thousand miles away in a dark place. As a hint to understanding some of the author's stuff, read the underlined caption at the end of each poem. Then you will 'tut tut' away and 'aha' moments may ensue since you'll have a better idea of what he is bellyaching about!

About the Author

Dennis Matanda currently lives in Belmont, Massachusetts; and read international relations for both undergraduate and graduate school.

He still, four years later, writes the ever so popular weekly relationship column [Man Talk] for the Ugandan audience - a feature that has, itself, morphed from an advise | agony piece to some kind of reality tell all expose.

Dennis plans to start some sort of post graduate school in the Spring of 2010 and expects to finally finish 'Master of the Sagging Cheeks' - a fictional and yet bizarrely satirical look at the inner workings of the celebrated African government. When he is not writing, he spends a bit of time in his VW - burning the asphalt between corporate communication assignments or anything in between.
