About the Author

Sara Ann has always been an avid reader; therefore, it is only natural that writing a book would be the next step.  Besides, who better to write for young readers, than a young reader herself?  "Mist Girl" is Sara Ann's first published book.  The book was begun when Sara Ann was 9 years old.  Sara Ann is now 11 years old, and with her family's support and encouragement, it was decided to get "Mist Girl" published.  Sara Ann decided to do her own illustrations; so between soccer, guitar lessons, choir, and school, she has been busy writing and illustrating her first book.  Keeping a note pad with her at all times, Sara Ann jots down ideas as they come to her, all in preparation for her next novel.
