Jennifer pulled her 2009 BMW 750i into the garage. It had been a long day and she really wanted to unwind with a drink. Keith, her gorgeous husband of 3 years was obviously home. At least his Mercedes was in the garage. This made her happy. She missed her husband. They both had been working long hours lately, and needed some time together.
She laid her keys on the marble kitchen countertop. Made two rum and cokes, and headed upstairs to see Keith.
Though it was still early, he was obviously tired. His 6’4, caramel-colored body was sprawled across the bed. He looked so sexy lying there in his boxers. Jennifer placed the drinks on the nightstand and proceeded to kiss the side of his face and the top of his clean-shaven head. He smiled and pulled her onto the bed.
Everything about him was perfect. The rippled abs, tight butt, well-cut arms, and the perfectly straight, white teeth.
“You’re home early,” he smiled.
“Yes, I finished my project sooner than I thought and wanted to come home and start dinner.”
“I have a better idea, why don’t we work on something else besides dinner. When we’re done we can go out and get a bite to eat.”
“Sounds good to me,” she said in between kisses.
She was glad to have spontaneous lovemaking, a rarity since they started fertility treatments over a year ago. Everything had turned so calculated. At times she felt indifferent about making love for pleasure.
Jennifer and Keith had what others could only imagine. They each made well over $100,000 annually, lived in a gated community and truly loved each other. On the outside it seemed as though they had it all, but they didn’t. They wanted a baby, a task that proved to be tougher than any other they’d encountered. It had come so easy for some of their friends. Couples they knew from college had gotten married and within a year they were pregnant. This was especially frustrating for the “power couple” because they seemed to succeed at every task life threw them. This one was truly out of their hands. Jennifer didn’t want to think about it right now. She just wanted to enjoy her evening with her truly gorgeous husband.

The question is how. The answer will floor the reader with an unlikely solution that’s right in front of her eyes.
About the Author
This is the second novel for LaShaundra Seale. Her first novel, Never More Than You Can Bear made quite a buzz. She grew up in a military family and had the pleasure of living in Europe, Hawaii, and many other states in the U.S.
LaShaundra is an avid reader and writer. When not writing, LaShaundra loves scrap-booking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
LaShaundra has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Tyler, and she’s currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration.
She lives in Texas with her husband and their son.
