About the Book

When a Cessna carrying a cargo of cocaine crashes in the Peruvian Highlands, Canadian University students John Emerson and Phil MacAllister, who are camping nearby, rush to the scene. They witness the pilot and co-pilot fleeing on foot. John and Phil continue to discover the wreckage and its illicit contents. Shortly thereafter, two Peruvian National Police Officers, Officer Ramirez and Officer Paredés, arrive at the scene, They stage the murder of Phil MacAllister, confiscate a portion of the cocaine for themselves, and arrest John Emerson for drug trafficking.

Private defense investigators, Stella Bennett and Victor Caballero team up and set out with the difficult task of proving John’s innocence. They are lead on an adventure of intrigue and suspense as they search for incriminating evidence against the officers who murdered Phil MacAllister and framed John Emerson.

When the suspect is finally released, he assists lead Detective Walter Diéz in the case by working with a sketch artist to help identify the pilot. When the sinister pilot Malcolm Murray learns from an inside source that the prisoner has been released and a portion of his precious cargo was stolen, he kidnaps the young tourist John Emerson believing that he is the culprit. He wants his precious cargo back!
