About the Book

Follow two families brought together by lives lived with secrets. Each step takes them deeper into a life of lies,secrets and deceit. The only difference between our main character, Helen and her husband, Ed, are the demons who control their lives. His demon is his psychosis; her demon is Ed. Helen begins her journey into this lie as a naive young college student who falls in love with a man who cannot be hers. Ed's begins as the master manipulator of all things wrong. Caught in the middle of this is a young child, Nickie. After years of enduring the abuse of a man who loves no one but himself, Helen plots to overcome the tragic life she chose to insure that what goes around....will one day come around.

About the Author

Johanna Devon grew up in the small town of Cassandra, PA. Since 1975 she has lived in northern Virginia where she became an award-winning real estate broker. Very much a free spirit, she loves to travel. She has one son and two grandchildren. Johanna has used her resources to help families in distress due to economic issues or the break-up of the family unit, providing them with daily necessities and financial assitance for a range of needs from school clothes to holiday gifts. She expects her novel will provoke discussion about domestic abuse and how it is still prevalent in our society, forty years after the women's lib movement began. She hopes her writing will inspire both men and women to make smart decisions about life and where it takes them.
