A historic perspective is highlighted throughout the book which plays an important factor, as does attitudes and trends that exist in the world today. In the opinion of Smith, this book is a great resource where people can start learning about topics in renewable energy.

About the Author

John Smith has a background in Urban Forestry, Safety Engineering, Wildland Fire Fighting, and Emergency Medical Services. While working as a wildland fire fighter the idea of a Hydrogen economy turned into a question; How can we capture the energy of this powerful force and make it reality? Smith's perspective is in safety, but many factors outside of safety such as economics, the market, and politics make this a truly dynamic topic. Many safety features of the hydrogen economy have yet to be met, however steady progress from many groups and organizations demonstrate steps towards full implementation.  How is the market preparing for this trend, and what is private and public enitities doing to move towards at Hydrogen Economy.  The Hydrogen economy is not a new topic which Smith believes will foster new ideas for continued movement towards a renewable energy future.
