About the Author
I live with my two dogs coco and poppy. I live in Fife Scotland. I left school with no qualifications and have worked full time ever since. At present I work full time as a sewing machinest in a factory in Leven. I started to write poetry and a few childrens stories around 2 years ago and have pondered throughout this time whether to write a novel or continue with my original work. Around 6 months ago, with little experience and a busy schedule I began writing at nights and on breaks at work, occasionally I would have the rare luxury of a day off and in that time is when the book was most worked on.. I was inspired to write The Gene Thief when I saw a glove at the side of the road, I began to envisage the story that preceeded the current location of the glove, as i thought about this I suddenly realised that infact I did have the ability to write, and create and the gene thief has allowed me to exploit this and complete my endevour to write my first novel.
