My Worst

You are the worst and the best of me.

The seeds of hope will be planted in spring

and will grow strong with conviction.

Winter is fact approaching; I must face what I'm seeing.

There are moments you wait for,

the moments you remember in your heart.

Agony has been chiselling away at my mind and sculping my new life.

In this cynical age we live in we must believe in divine intervention.

It's difficult to breathe; my thoughts no longer frighten me.

My lover encourages me,

Find the voice that has been lost.

Deep in my heart my veins feel like frost;

The evening ghost is breathing for me.

I can travel the past and take what I need,

Women continue to be exploited in an age

When tolerance should be on everyone's lips.

We must take our rightful place; refuse to be sold for a nickel.

I'm in the village of darkness

I drink what is being offered;eveyone is chanting obscure rituals.

I feel the strength of being in the centre of sisterhood calling all women.

We are worth so much more;

We can shape our life into a harmonious plan guided by own spirit or

We can let darkness speak for us.

We are strong, wrapped in  the cloth of freedom;

We must hold on to our beliefs.

We must be true to the heart of every

woman who wants to be free.

It cannot be done in a day,

So we must rememeber to pray for the

women in need of a nickel.
