About the Book
This book is about being human. Poetry is human. It is a look into the soul, daily living, and poetic presece of daily life. Every passion and pain of my own world has been turned into poetry, a story revealed. A book filled with beauty and surprise, unexpected gifts. This book is about the solitary moments in life, things that you have done and experienced and discovered that you've actually found them to be meaningful.
About the Author
Maria Thompson was born in Pembroke Ontario Canada in 1957. She was one of nine children born to Polish immigrants who came to Canada following the Second World War. She graduated from night school in her early twenties while raising three children. She later continued to pursue her studies in English, Psychology and Child Development throughout her thirties. In her late forties she studied law and pursued a career as as a paralegal. She devoted her life to her family who she says are her natural bridge in her life. She says that poetry is music of the soul and is appreciated for its contribution to everyone's life during different periods in life. She loves to write in a style that is an expression of lover's interludes, insightful observations, wills, intellect, a serenity of a moment revealed about life.
