About the Book
'A Place for the woman', is quite an inspiring book in which Chipo tries to define the identity of a woman and how the woman should respect, value and carry herself.
The book tries to define the responsibilities of a woman in the society- as a home-maker , as a mother to her children, her service and responsibility as a wife to her husband , her place as a worker with colleagues and her responsibility and service to the church as a child of God.
The woman's responsibility is not to fight with the man , but with wisdom, she should complement and be compatible with him. The woman does not need to be out of her head and shout for equality with the man. In any case all men are created to be complementary , not to be equals.
About the Author
Chipo is a dedicated pastor’s wife who has ministered by her husband with integrity. She grew up with the heart of a mother and she has worked with children most of her life.
She is happily married to Reverend Ephraim Mudere, a pastor and renown teacher of the word of God. The Lord has blessed them with three lovely children. Chipo has often confessed that, ‘ Accepting and loving my children , has made me into a better, caring and refined mother. My submission to Ephraim , is a voluntary obligation - a well chosen option which I cherish and will never regret. His love and his support for what l can be , has given me the confidence to find my place in life.’
Chipo is a very committed colleague who values the importance of seeing God produce the best out of everyone. Celebrating other peoples' accomplishments has brought Chipo in contact with many lives whose destinies have been clearly directed by God.
Chipo is a trained High School Teacher who holds both a Bachelor of Educational Administration and Masters in Educational Administration with the University of Zimbabwe. She holds a QTS (qualified teacher status and a post graduate certificate in Education, (PGCE) United Kingdom) and has taught English and Drama in most Secondary Schools. Currently she is studying a Doctorate degree with the University of Durham (United Kingdom).
The book is an expression of how God turns a frail girl into an emblem of maturity as she finds her position in life.
‘I can safely say that I have come in contact with the supreme God, and indeed- He has changed the way how I see and relate to myself, to God , and all other people , and still keep my place- as a virtuous woman.
