Genesis 1:3– Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

At this point on the earth, as the black cloud was settling, the visibility of the celestial becomes possible. This is still only on the earth. The light discussed is only from a planetary perspective as the heavens were already in existence declared in verse one. No mysticism that treats the Almighty as a genie is necessary. He does not function or intervene only in moments of time, but always knows all, about all, over all time. The unfolding of all that appears to us as Him personally intervening in specific moments, is always a clear testimony of Him unquestionably over all. God Almighty is never limited to time, but the unfolding of His power over all to our understanding, is Him personally reaching out to us. In this verse when He “said” Let there be light,  it is not as much that the infinite actually spoke with vocal cords confined to time, as much as that His infinite eternal plan aligns with all reality. Scientifically proven or beyond current scientific measurements. God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light, is the actual case in the scientific reality of our cooling planets origin. As dust began to settle, the sun became visible through a milky sky on a harsh, barren and lifeless planet that would eventually become habitable.

Genesis1:4– And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

Once again the Omnipresent Almighty did not view with natural optics when He saw the light. He always knows all about all or He would not be Almighty! Only dogmatic astigmatism would blind our understanding to limit our view of God. Remember, the perspective given from scripture about this particular moment, is only from the confines of planet earth, and no creature existed to physically view the first sunrise. Therefore, scripture records God saw the light, that it was good because no one else was there to view it. God did not record His actions in holy writ to be viewed as subject to the confines of time, but He had penned precisely the facts that reveal Him over time and everything else. When God divided the light from the darkness, it is a statement of fact that He is the origin of all. Not that He performed an action confined within the limits of time. It is a case of factual rotation of the earth, which causes the division of light and darkness on the earth. Scripture is testifying that God is the origin of all, and the earth’s rotation which allows the dividing of light and darkness plays a role in the revelation of Him to all. The factors that keep our earth’s rotational spin going, are a marvelous testimony to His handiwork. Geo-magnetic effects and the reality of gravity, reveal the God ordained forces that are beyond our control. Such things give glory to God, as those that ponder things beyond our control, are afforded the opportunity to yield to Almighty God who is above all things.
