About the Book
Why am I black is a microcosm to the racism our great America has embraced. The truth of the matter is there isn't no black people or white people, again this in itself is a propagations of the same ignorance that makes one race think their superior to another. This is sad when you come to the knowledge of truth, which is ,every human being came from the same Africa / Kismet / Land of Kush / Ethiopia , no matter the name of this great land, all mankind as we know it came from this beautiful land. So, Why am I black : I am not black, I am a man of color and great distinction, in writting this book I would hope everyone who reads it gain a new since of respect for all mankind. Yes I love my family of color but I hate no other group of people, yet I do believe people of color must stop hating themselves and come together as one to finally break this genocidal subpleminal seed of distruction that's festering in the veins of many so called "Black people". We can achieve and we can soar to become whatever our hearts desire.
About the Author
My name is Shawn Mangum / Purnell, most people know me as Purnell, I would consider myself to be a nice human being that gave his heart to the world. Born and raised in the hard streets of North Philly I have seen plenty of hardship and pain, yet when no one was looking there was joy there as well. I have went to school for a plethora of concentrations, my reason is to be able to help many people when the time calls for it. This is my second book, and I plan to write several more in the near future. I am a serious person and I believe you can not celebrate until victory is won, for before hand is ridiculous. I love family I believe its the most prestigious union to us next to the Almighty. I love to travel and see new sites and before its said and done I would have hoped to travel the world. Also I love to cook, eat, and I love to make lots of money.
Also I am a Minister for Christ and it's a beautiful experience, for what you do for Christ is the only thing in this world that matters. Now Christ is not Jesus's last name it's a meaning on what Jesus represents, and that's the Anointed one, I thought I would share that. My dream is to be able to take take of my family where bills would never be an issue, and to help as many people as I can, my focus is for my african brothers and sisters to wake up before it's too late, yet I love all people no matter what race you are, because when I study the Word of God I learn in the beginning there were only one race.
