About the Book

Marjorie Renfroe lives in Naples, Florida, on the west coast, but was born and lived as a small child in Jupiter, Florida, on the east coast. She graduated from The University of Florida in 1956 with a degree in Education and a minor in art.

The story of “The Doll Safari” is based on the actual happenings of Marjorie as a child and she has embellished these memories to make childhood imaginings come alive.

She now paints large florals and writes nature poetry.  She has 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.  Her eldest son and his family reside in Jupiter on the same river his mother writes about in the story.
