About the Book

Miss Green is an innovative teacher who encourages her students to share the history and traditions of their religious and cultural holidays. Any child who wishes, may sit the beautiful “sharing chair” and tell how and why their holiday began, and how their family celebrates it at home.

About the Author

Carole lives in Spotsylvania, Virginia, with her husband Len. The idea for this book began when Carole’s daughter asked her to find a book about various religions for her granddaughter, who is being raised with the traditions of Catholicism and Judaism. Although there were many books about individual holidays, she could find none that incorporated information about the different religious and cultural holidays celebrated in the United States. She feels a book that teaches children appreciation and understanding of different religions and traditions is something many families would welcome.
