About the Book
"Reflections" captures the lifework of a small town artist. The simple sketches to the detailed paintings all show different dimensions of the artist. Donna's favorite subject to work with, as you will see looking through the book, are humans. We have tried to gather all of Mom's work to create this book in her memory and we hope you will enjoy it as much as her family does.
About the Author
Donna Mae Swanson Ellenson loved both art and literature. Finding both interesting at an early age, she started nurturing these hobbies until they became lifelong passions. She used her talent working on the Roseau Ram yearbook while in high school and later as a way to relax well raising her seven children. She would read books and take classes to help her advance in her skills. If you study the men in Donna's sketches, except for the portraits of her father, they all have similar characteristics of her true love of 48 years, her husband Kenneth.
