During a summer not too long ago, the husband of English author Suzanne Stone took an opportunity to orate some of her poems to colleagues, friends and family. Due to the positive reaction that followed, Suzanne was persuaded to reveal the extent of her extraordinary repertoire and gain the confidence to produce this, her debut book.

Burning Bright is an anthology of life experience poems entirely the works of Suzanne Stone, written with individual forewords, photographic and hand drawn images.

In the Foreword to the book, retired Police Captain, Douglas R. Mills previously of Charter Township of Clinton Police Department in Michigan, writes "As a people in today's world we have all experienced life's joys, sorrows, and disappointment. Suzanne Stone has put all these emotions in perspective.....As I read through each one I found myself thinking, Hey, I've been there; I felt that; wow! she understands. I laughed, I cried, I felt comfort. I believe you will too."

This the first book of five by Suzanne Stone, all being set within her Life Collection Series (LcS) published by AuthorHouse in both UK and USA. As of July 2009, Suzanne has completed the manuscript of book two entitled "My Place" and is currently working on the artwork with Paris Cannon as well as the initial poems of book three .

About the Author

Suzanne Stone begins her journey, drawing together life experiences within the first book of her Life Collection Series revealing a repetoire of hidden gems like "A Million Times" and "Plank Motor Kid". A mid-book interval of "Coffee Break Ditties" adds humour. Photographs and drawings bring perspective, striving to achieve a glimpse of visual imagination.

Living within the Cathedral City of Lichfield, Staffordshire, England, through childhood, school, marriage, motherhood, work, travel and personal loss, diarising encounters and memories. Suzanne has compiled her own works in a unique way, a review by Waterstones' employee stated "how refreshing and unique it is having an individual foreword to each poem which gives an insight to the motive and origins that bought the piece of work about, I like that"

Main Foreword to the book; Retired Police Captain Douglas R. Mills of Michigan writes "Suzanne Stone is a woman of great strength with a love for her family and her heritage. She exudes an inner peace that is felt by those around her. She has the ability to listen to her inner voice and see things from a different perspective and is able to translate her experiences into words"

In creating Burning Bright, Suzanne comments....

"Each life should burn as bright as it can whilst it can; we all have the ability to shine, maybe if only for a while. We, each and every one of us are capable of glowing in some way. We just need to allow ourselves the freedom to ignite the flame inside.

When we are low our flame just flickers, only to be lit up when we are feeling bright and carefree. I truly believe we can all burn bright somehow"

.... with the title poem "Burning Bright" Suzanne begins her story, why not join her journey . . .
