Nobody's Army, Everyone's War

We must have only gone a mile when Tuti was back with us. His English was not good but with help from Natuma he told us that there was a clearing further ahead where six men were pushing two miners around. Just then there was a scream of pain, we had heard it many times before in other conflicts, its a sound you dont forget, it`s the sound that is followed by death. We increased our pace covering both sides of the track for protection, the first body was found on the edge of the track. His stomach was split open from sternum down to his testicals his arms had been hacked and his throat cut. Six rebels were having so much fun with the second miner that they didn`t hear us approch them from behind. Three were watching while there three mates was hacking at the miner, six shots rang out and the three men near the miners body fall died. There was a silence which seemed to last for hours, then the remaining three rebels ran for the forest, Master reacted first and brought down the first one with one of his throwing knives that hit the man in the throat. He hit the floor trying to scream but his vioce box had gone, blood was pouring through his fingers his eyes bulged with lack of breath, he died not long after. Frenchy took another down with a rugby tackle, take him alive shouted Tuck, as the third disapered into the thicker growth but soon there was a scream and V.V walked out wiping his knife on his combat trousers. Frenchy rendered the final man unconscious with a mighty blow on top of his head with his bare fist,we tied him up and gagged him.
