Frozen Wounds

My father did not like this One particular evening when I went to massage my father, as I usually did in the evenings, he called me into his room, I was feeling unwell and extremely tired, whilst massaging his feet I mistakenly dozed of, this was the excuse he needed. My eyes widened as his foot crashed into my chest. I could not breathe it felt as if a ten ton elephant had just sat on my chest. “Who do you think you are he cursed” He shouted and swore at me in Punjabi. I daren’t

Not open my mouth and say anything to him, in fear of any reprisals. But this was not enough for him He grabbed me by the ears and twisted as hard as he could. I placed my hand in my mouth and bit as hard as I could. This was to prevent any sounds coming from me. I knew if I

But little did I know the beatings had only just started. My father then opened his wardrobe door, out came a large wooden stick, my eyes widened what was he going to do? I had no time to think of a plan for my escape, as the stick came crashing down over my back, again and again the burning sensation as the stick touched my back was excruciating. I placed my hands up trying to grab the stick, but it was no use, my father was stronger than me. With every blow I begged him to stop, but the stick kept coming. Then the tears started flowing he told me if he saw any more tears I would get double the beatings, but the tears would not stop rolling. Someone please help me from this evil man. I could not help it I started shouting

My mother overheard the shouting. She came running into the room she took one look at me and told me to go and sit with my siblings, shaking and shivering I did what I was told. What

Was going to happen now then I heard an almighty bang my mother was screaming for my father to leave her alone I ran to the door and
