The Saturday before the wedding, Robert and Rebecca made plans to meet at the docks. They were going to take one last spin on the speedboat, but before Rebecca met him, she had a hair appointment she couldn't miss. She drove her BMW out to a shop that she didn't usually go to. Rebecca wanted her new style to be a complete surprise. It was mid morning when she reached the little shop called Sally's. She parked the car and went inside. It was not the kind of place her mother would have been pleased about her spending time in. The location wasn't questionable, but a hair cut was only twenty-five dollars instead of one hundred and twenty-five dollars. As it was, the shop was nowhere near as modern as her usual salon, but it was quite charming. When Rebecca emerged three hours later, she had a very different hairstyle. It was a lot shorter and was a completely different colour. She looked in the rear view mirror and ran her hand along her smooth locks. Heck, she barely recognised herself. Rebecca took a deep breath and headed to the docks. Pulling up to the parking area, she noticed that Robert's car was in its usual spot. She rolled her car next to his, grabbed her bag and walked down to the slip. The boat was beautiful. She and Robert always loved spending time on her. They didn't do it nearly enough, but when they did, Robert loved to open it up and feel the wind. She smiled when she saw Robert. "Permission to come on board Captain?" She stood and saluted. Robert smiled as he walked closer to her. "Do I know you?" He looked at her hair. It was so much shorter than he was used to. "I can't believe the difference." He was stunned. "I never thought of you as a blond." He reached out a hand to help her. "Are your shoes clean?" He mused. Rebecca laughed and stepped aboard the 'Crowning Glory.' She went down below to stow her belongings while Robert started the boat. When she emerged, Robert had already untied the bow line and was expertly moving to the stern. The engine rumbled in a low hum. "Great day for a boat ride." Rebecca looked up at the sky. There wasn't a cloud in sight. "Did you tell them we were going to be gone for the weekend?" "I told them I was whisking you away so that you could relax before the wedding." He smiled a devilish smile. "Of course, I had to promise that we wouldn't sleep together until we were married." Rebecca threw her head back and laughed. "If they only knew."

About the Author
Laura Davies spent most of her childhood in Mississauga, Ontario where she began chasing her interest in writing. When Laura was an adolescent she wrote her first attempt at a fantasy novel that still remains in a box in her office. It is only with "Full Circle" that Laura has stepped out of her comfort zone in order to share her writing. She currently resides in Western Ontario, Canada with her son Nigel, two dogs and her best friend. Laura has written several novels since her first fantasy venture. She has discovered that it is through the sometimes hillarious and heartbreaking experiences of life that characters are born. It is when Laura puts pen to paper that she embellishes characters allowing them to take on their own meaning. Every day situations are the catalysts that spark the beginnings of her next book. Laura is currently embarking on the journey of her newest novel; one in a long line of stories she hopes to publish.
