About the Author

John Obenchain was born in California, but raised in Indiana.

 

While growing up, John's family often drove between Indiana and California to visit relatives.  It was from these humble beginnings that his life-long love of travel began.  John has since dedicated himself to seeing as much of the world as possible before he dies (which hopefully won't happen for quite some time).

 

John met and befriended a wide range of people while working himself through school.  He did this mainly by working a series of odd jobs that included pizza and sandwich maker, construction worker, accounting assistant, warehouse grunt, and science teacher.  This unique combination of life experiences helped form John's "try anything" attitude.  Since then, he has traveled the world to meet and communicate with people from all different countries and walks of life.
