~Chapter One~ ~The Beginning of the Struggle~ (“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” -- Ephesians 6:12 KJV) Before you met your spouse, you had a great job and making a career for yourself. Then you see--this tall glass of water coming your way and he says all the right words to you!! You say to yourself, “This might be the one!” You date for a while and get to know him. Family and friends kept saying to you, “He doesn’t want to marry you because he is not ready!!” They also tell you that there is something about him that seems weird or not safe. You tell your family and friends that they don’t understand him and that you love him. So to prevent arguing with them or them with you, everyone seems to accept your choice in your life because you kept saying to them –“He is a Good MAN, which is what his momma kept saying to you…!” After six months in dating, you start to see him messing around with other women, being extremely too friendly, but he tells you that they are “just friends—you’re the one for me!” You believe him, after all this man keep saying the right words: “I love you” to you, and you are excited because he says that he will marry you one day. As you continue to wait, you end up pregnant by him, so then he decides to pop the questions after being 4 months pregnant with his child. You get married thinking that life will be great, just like Cinderella’s fairy tale. After years go by, you’ve been there for your spouse and you thought you’ve become the Psalm 31 Virtuous wife that the bible enhances you to be. You play the role of being the perfect wife and mother for your husband and in other people eyes, but deep down there is a “silent frustration.” You change your look for your spouse; buy nice sexy night gowns to make him love you more while he is looking at the magazine or books comparing you to them and not paying attention to you. You tried different make-up products and even get help from friends who sold Mary Kay but when you came home thinking you look beautiful, your spouse tells you take that mess off because you look like a mess!! Or your spouse says you are too fat in your in your clothing, “I can’t go out with you looking like that! I am too embarrassed to be seen with you!”

About the Book
How do you go on when life throws you a Hard Curve? When people mistreat you for no apparent reason and intentionally lie on you. When your children are doing things that are not godly, (they end up going to jail and you bail them out, time after time and they never tell you thank you!!). When a spouse leaves you, or when you are paying child support to a custodial parent who won’t let you see your children because he/she don’t want you to be a part of the child’s life, however, they want your money. What do you do when your siblings turn on you and no longer want to be a part of your life, or your family won’t help you when you are on your last drop of milk for your small children? What do you do?
Do you give up? Do you throw in the towel? Do you just reevaluate your life and ask to yourself, “Okay what did I do wrong,” “Where in the world did this come from,” or “Why is this happening to me, even though I didn’t do anything wrong?” I am writing this book for everyone who has been through what I am about to share with you. I have had my share of bitterness and hatred in my heart because of what others have done to me. It almost led me to un-forgiveness, to the point it almost destroyed me. However, in the Name of Jesus, I overcame!! Thank You JESUS!
As you thumb through, and meditate on the pages of this book, I pray that this scripture passage is a resounding echo in your spirit. It brought me through some of the most difficult journeys in my life. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 states......
About the Author
Mrs. Marshell Forte was born in Chicago but, raised in Maywood Illinois. After graduating from Proviso East High School she joined the Armed forces where she served in the US Army. She has traveled extensively to different countries: Panama, Kuwait and Dubai. Marshell received her call to Ministry back in 1995, during that course in her life, God was training and equipping her to become what He wanted her to be at this very moment. Marshell's love for God has touched many lives through her Ministry and God has prepared her to touch many lives throughout the nations!
Marshell and her husband, Jonathan are the parents of four beautiful daughters; 5 grandbabies and currently residing in Kuwait.
