Several decades ago while still in high school in Liberia, West Africa, I really wanted to write a book about things that I thought would be interesting to relay to other people. The whole process was still vey new to me and resources were virtually nonexistent. However the urge to write was irrepressible.
I did not know that life would get in the way and this dream would be deferred for three decades. However, I was able to safekeep the different brief pieces of literary works that I produced.
During the intervening years, many things would take shape and forever change my outlook on many aspects of life. Thanks, goodness, with almost the tenacity of Sinbad the Sailor, a fabled character from earlier times, I was able to withstand the many challenges that I had to overcome. This current collection of works, in my opinion, has made that wait worthwhile.

This book is a collection of salient works of a student from the far away continent of Africa, cataloguing his journey via snapshots of writings that covers travels to four continents, spanning three decades from impoverished roots deep in the hinterland of Liberia, West Africa to high school in an economically challenging capital city, then to medical school and finally as a trained neurologist and entrepreneur with valuable time still left. A must read book for anyone interesting in reading about the life of a student starting from an impossible beginning in an economically and politically challenged continent but able to reach unimaginable heights in his profession and life despite all the limitations and insurmountable odds.
About the Author
The author was born in the far away land of Liberia, West Africa under very challenging socioeconomic conditions . Despite the complete absence of resources and instruction for young writers and all the other difficulties in that geographic locale, the irrepressible urge to write was deferred but never abandoned. After three decades, this book is a synopsis of different literary endeavours that covered this time span including literary, sociopolitical and scientific topics of interest to the average reader.
