Living with years of anticipation…
With intent to serve the nation…
Yet… no one knows my heart
They’re too consumed with the world…
To lend me a conversation…
And I’m too respectful to pay a visit of cruel confrontation…
Everyone knows their own heart
Yet they’re too high to correct the pain…
I had to turn it all to Jesus and a revelation was what I gained…
Without God
My spirit and soul… would be lost
And here on earth would be no more
Than a mirror image of chaos…

versatile book of poems about a young woman going through the motions of love
and life after witnessing the suicidal death of her husband and the sudden loss
of other loved ones. Self-healing for
her was only possible through her gift of writing poetry and personal
relationship with God.

After almost every poem, I give my thoughts and my reasons for writing
it... This book is not just a book full of soul soothing poems; it’s life!!! My
life- my gift!!!

together time and time again... but only true love can make them stay and

About the Author
Unforeseen Blessings Author Bio
I am a mother, an author, and a veteran. I can’t really identify a specific
thing that has influenced me to write, because I have been writing all my life.
I am the oldest of 5 siblings and my mom was very young when she had us. Having a young mom was hard and
there was a lot of stress in the home. Growing up, I just thought that writing was
normal. However, over the years, I have realized that something has to touch my
heart deeply in order for me to write, which means the way I grew up plays a
very big role in influencing me. Writing is a way for me to express myself and
in a much deeper sense- I like to refer to it as a soul cleanser.
Over the last six years, I have lost 6 family members. I have also been diagnosed with a Kidney Disease called Glomerulonephritis, Osteoarthritis, High Blood Pressure, Depression, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder, and other minor things. Life has not been easy, but it’s livable. It’s a struggle to believe in faith, when it seems as if faith doesn’t exist. I can deal with my health issues because I have my friends and family to help me cope, but what has been hard is dealing with losing them along the way. Throughout this all, even though I’ve lost a lot; I am overjoyed because I didn’t lose my faith in Jesus. Simply put- my poems are influenced by my life- a life that I am proud to be living!
