About the Book

The title of this book, 'LIFE', (Live In Freedom Everyday) encapsulates the essence of the contents; that is, life in it's many forms, with it's ups and downs, loves and hurts, pleasures and pain, darkness and light.

It is an honest portrayal of what people, from all walks of life, often think, feel and do; but don't always reveal - for one reason or another.

This is a collection of poems, harnessing the grit, anger, pain, joy, beauty, love and wonder, that is Life.

About the Author

karen Joseph was born in North London, to a Jamaican Mother, Sheila, and Dominican Father, Algernon.

She has three younger siblings ( Denise, Dane and Jason) and together they all grew up in the family home.

Later in life, Karen moved to East London, where she studied Psychology, at the University of East London, earning a Bsc Honours Degree.

At the age of 26, she gave birth to her only child, a son, named Andre, who is now a thriving teenager.

Karen 'tried her hands' at many jobs over the years, including: Professional Trainer, (delivering training in personal and professional development) Assessor, Teacher, Lecturer and Driving Instructor.  However, although being adept at these roles, her love has always been Writing and Art.  She has aspirartions of owning an Art Gallery one day and appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show - she explains these aspirations to people tentatively, as she is often considered a dreamer with her head in the clouds,  like:  "...Yeah, alright Karen! Get back to reality now why don't you!"

Having said that, if the truth be known, she actually means to achieve these aims and beams with anticipation and excitement when she talks about them.

Her hope for this book, is that, the poetry will move the readers, in whatever way applicable to them and that, they will share the poems that have touched them, with others.
