About the Book

This book is dedicated to victims of sexual assaualt and domestic violence. I am bringing awareness of what is never talked about. This book also has the true stories and a writing of my own sexual assault of rape. This book can make you laugh and cry. I wrote about death, love, spirituality, hoping survivors find some peace.  I hope this book also brings something to other readers who have not lived some of these stories, This is my first book I have written after my rape and my new law in the State of Illinois where perpatrators pay life time care for victims which passed on January 1, 2006 and is used daily. I have written on abuse and to leave abusive relationship no matter how afraid you are. There are shelters and friends to stay with. My book is called "The Cape" because it is deep and true stories you can read about life.

About the Author

My name is Michelle Eppel. I wrote this book after walking my streets of my home town collecting 536 petitions for a new State law for Illinois. I found myself testifying two times and law passed January 1, 2006 for the State of Illinois.  I am trying to get this law passed Nationwide for justice! . If you would like to review law  where perpatrators pay lifetime care for victims you can go to www.ilga.gov and click on previous acts and type in number 94-0397.  This book is to inform victims of new law and possibly inspire you and bring some self help to you. If you have questions you are free to contact me through e-mail at Ladydew4love@yahoo.com  I suffer with post traumatic stress disorder and other illnesses from the brutal crime of rape. This book is for anyone. I think you will like the book and perhaps it will inspire you as well. I am a voice for victims and this new law did not help me in anyway. I just do not want others to fall  from middle class to poverty just to afford medications, anything needed. I look for  them to have a chance to heal.  I will now continue fighting until  perpatrators pay lifetime care for every victim in every state. I will find a peace of mind and that justice will be served across our nation. I am bringing awareness of reality of crimes that are never talked about and bring help to victims. I hope you enjoy my book called "The Cape". Thank you Michelle
