About the Book
"Our Miracle..Our Earth" is a children's book written to increase environmental awareness of our Earth and all its creatures. It is a story of two children visiting their grandparents. They begin to discuss the word, "miracle". Starting simply from "just being together as a family", the story begins to develop. The discussion then continues to naming many of the miracles that we have on our planet Earth. All the people across the globe, with unique colors, races, beliefs and the miracle in each one of them. All the creatures in their own environments...from the ocean and its inhabitants to our rivers, streams, our desert lands and forests. Grandpa presents global warming to the children and the need for all the people of the world to join together to save our Earth and its inhabitants from pollution, endangerment and extinction. The discussion between the generations concentrates on awareness and the challenge! As we face as a world to keep our Earth a " miracle". They discuss the choices and changes that we all can take to make a difference for today, tomorrow and the future. "Our Miracle..Our Earth" is beautifully illustrated and an easy read. It is a book that generations can share and learn from together. In the back of the book, there are interesting questions that can add to the home or classroom learning and discussion.
About the Author
Patricia Diane Craine is a licensed psychotherapist, practicing in
Patricia has always had an avid love of nature and its creatures. Her concern for the future, in regard to the environment and its current challenges, prompted her to write, "Our Miracle...Our Earth". The intent of this book is to create an increased awareness and hopefully, solutions for our Earth and its inhabitants all over the globe.
Patricia is a member of many professional and volunteer organizations, with special passion for children and animals. Portions of "our miracle..our earth", will benefit U.N.I.C.E.F. International Children's Fund. Patricia's philosophy is.."to reach up , reach out and make the world a better place......because you can".
