About the Book
Life is so different today than it was a short time ago. Many of our time-saving advances have, in fact resulted in more work to do and more time on the job. In addition, more married couples both work, while they struggle to raise a family. For relaxation, we often find ourselves withdrawing from life and plugging into the television for “must see” TV. Soon, we find ourselves wondering how we ever lost control of our lives and where the time has gone.
Tim Guiden spent twenty-one years as an attorney in the Air Force. It was the “busyness” of his lifestyle that one day convinced him that he had lost touch with something in his life that had been so important to him for so long.
He responded by attending an Bible Study while working in the Embassy in Rome, Italy. The work with this group led Tim to decide to read the Bible cover to cover, something he always wanted to do, but never thought he had the time to do. Tim got so much from his daily Bible reading, that he found himself doing it year after year. As he studied the daily readings, he began to take notes and keep a journal of what the readings were saying to him. This devotional was born of this wonderfully rewarding journey of five years.
Tim invites you to find ten minutes a day to share his journey. Each day he recommends a Bible excerpt, focuses on a specific quote, shares with you what the reading meant to him, and invites you to ask yourself what God is saying to you through the particular reading.
Hearing the voice of God every day can make a wonderful difference in your life. Make the time to take this incredible journey.
