About the Book

The PURSE Prayer Bible study was inspired and developed with the desire to share key Bible Study principles from a simple perspective.  God’s greatest commandment, His plan for our salvation, and His plan for our lives are all very simple.  Sometimes it is the simple and obvious things that we over complicate, take for granted or even let go unnoticed.

What do we all hold dear and panic when we can’t find it?  What can possibly reveal more about us than any other item in our possession?  What may even be thought of as a mini survival kit?  It’s our purse!

The symbolic significance and the PURSE acronym of prayer unites repentance and salvation for everyone became the outline of the study.  When the concepts of this study were shared with other women, it was their acknowledging nods and smiles that encouraged the further development of this study to be shared.

This six week Bible study is designed so that each lesson includes; prayer, discussion, an interactive exercise using a purse or purse accessories, and study of selected scripture references.   Sessions facilitate Bible study, while encouraging bonding of the group participants with open sharing and lots of laughter too.

Make it your Bible Study and girls’ night out event for the next six weeks!

About the Author

I enjoy writing and want to share my gifts, joy, and testimony with other women.  I am blessed to have and enjoy precious relationships with my mother, my grandmothers, my sister in Christ, my best girlfriend, and a variety of special women in my life.

I live with my wonderful son Will in Maumelle, Arkansas.  We share our home with 3 dogs and are delighted to entertain company anytime.  We enjoy fly fishing, golf and watching football.

I have asked God to give me the wisdom of discernment and disclosure, and a way to relate to others.  I am often inspired to share lessons from a very simple perspective.  Such points of inspiration have included; dance steps, the smell of smoke, a special ring, and in this particular Bible Study --- a purse.

I have been abundantly blessed with 25 challenging and rewarding years in my career life as a private business consultant and in various healthcare roles.   Most recently, I began studies in Christian Life Coaching.  I hope to integrate these experiences into my work, lessons, and writing projects.
