About the Book

This book is composed of poems and short stories.  The poems and stories have to do with real life experiences that the author has dealt with.  Most of the poems have to do with the author personal struggles between "flesh" and "spirit".  The author also has put some poems of love and heartbreak, and also the love he has for family and friends.  These poems were written by the author between the years 2001 and 2008 with the newer poems towards the back of the book.  The majority of the poems were written between 2001 and 2003.  This is a book for all ages.  The author speaks of struggles in general so that each reader can apply their personal situation and gain comfort from there.  The author holds nothing back in the book and really puts his life and paper and presents it to the public.

About the Author

Hi my name is Theodore Moody Jr, better known as Teddy.  I am from Savannah, Ga.  I started writing about 8 yrs. ago and have not put the pen and pad down yet.  Writing for me has never been a hobby because I never new I could write until that one day in Feburary of 2001.  I had been dealing with problems that were causing alot of pressure for a young man and I felt as if I had no outlet.  Well one day after listening to a particular song on repeat for the whole day, I was at a red light and a sentence just appeared in my head.  It was like a light that went off in my head and showed me where to go and what to do.  I got home awhile later and wrote my first three poems.  It was like an outer body experience.  Now 8 yrs. later I have written a many of poems and short stories.  I have done spoken word in my home town of Savannah and also in Atlanta.  I wrote a poem for a local magazine called Reflections.  Now I am proud to present my work to the rest of the world in hopes that they will embrace my thoughts. Most my poems still begin with a sentence in my head.  Then I go into what I like to call, "the zone" and I compose the rest of the writing.  I really don't know what I've written until I read it back to myself.  It's almost as if I have no control over myself when it comes to my poetry.  It's apart of my life.  With this book complete and on its' way, I have already began production on book two.  I eagerly anticipate the response of my readers.
