Reaching the boat hull, Breeze reached up and started to put her arms around a very young lady. The lady was crying hysterically. When she felt Breeze gently pulling her away from the hull towards the sea she turned her head and started yelling and screaming. “EEEEA!…NO! NO! EEEEA! DON’T TOUCH ME!.... MY BABY! NO! EEEEA! HELP! MY BABY!”
Not wanting to be in the way of a rescue he knew he couldn’t help with, Alex had gone around to the other side of the broken hull. There, in front of him wrapped in sopping wet blankets was a very still baby. Its eyes were closed and he was not sure it was alive. “BREEZE! HONEY!” The shock of seeing the young girl clinging to half of a sinking life boat was bad enough but seeing a little baby was almost more than he could take. His breath was coming in swift gasps. BREEZE! HONEY...COME OVER HERE! HURRY! I…I…DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THERE’S A BABY…”
Breeze yelled “I’M COMING ALEX!” She pulled the screaming lady off the boat hull, put her arm around her and swam with her to the other side of the hull. Immediately, Breeze reached out and touched Alex’s shoulder…pushing the young lady into his arms. “HERE, ALEX…TAKE THIS GIRL! Just make sure you keep her head above water. She’ll be fine. I’ll get the baby!”
“MY BABY! MY BABY!” The lady kept screaming. When she felt Alex take her in his arms she screamed all the louder and started fighting to get out of his grip.
Breeze took the baby in her arms, turned around and glared right into the lady’s face and yelled.
“LISTEN, LADY! WE’RE TRYING TO SAVE YOU…AND YOUR BABY, BUT YOU’LL HAVE TO SHUT UP AND STOP FIGHTING!” She held the baby out at arms length, shaking it slightly in front of the lady’s face. “YOU SEE THIS BABY HERE? IF I DON’T HELP IT RIGHT NOW…IT’LL BE DEAD! If it comes right down to it, lady, we’ll drop you right now…drop you right down into this angry ocean so…allow us to help. OKAY!”
After hearing that, the lady seemed to calm down a bit, but she was still crying. “Okay…Okay!” She sobbed. “My name is Kimberly, Kim…just call me Kim. My baby…Is my baby boy okay? He’s only nine months old. Please…just…tell me my baby is okay.
“Now,” Breeze said, again looking into the lady’s eyes, “YOU are going to have to relax and allow us to get you to shore. It’s a long swim and will take a long time.
“A LONG SWIM?” The lady yelled. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN…A LONG SWIM?” Kim glanced in every direction and there was nothing…nothing but angry waves…and a small bit of the life boat hull she’d been clinging to. As she watched the last little bit of that life boat slowly sink under the angry waves, she again became frightened. She looked at Alex. She again started breathing heavy. With a frightened look on her face and in her voice, Kim yelled. “DON’T YOU HAVE A BOAT… OR SOMETHING?” Her mouth hung wide open and she started breathing hard. She looked first at Alex with his arms around her, and then at her baby boy cradled in Breeze’s arms. “WHERE’S THE BOAT? WHAT… HOW CAN WE…WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE, AREN’T WE?”

About the Book
High adventure, scary encounters and narrow escapes are in store for our beautiful and adventurous mermaid Breeze as she comes face to face with The Tridon. Now...The Tridon is of human form with a scaley body and fins that resemble that of a fish and a monstrous, ugly head with horns on top and bulging eyes. His form is rendered in such a grotesque manner that anyone looking upon this hideous sight for an extended period of time would be overcome by fear so intense that it could drive them mad. THE TRIDON is a wicked sea creature that can destroy both men and ships, a monstrous creature from the deep that Breeze's father, Neptune had under total control and at his beck and calling to do the dirty work of killing men and destroying ships when he, himself did not want to dirty his hands Unusual events occur that causes this creature not only to loose all reasoning but also causes it to become totally out of control and even more frightening and monstrous than it ever was in its original state. Breeze is taken captive more than once, and perilous circumstances cause her to again almost lose her life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR, SYLVIA FRALEY
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Sylvia had moved twenty-one times by the time she graduated high school… not to mention the dozens of times afterwards. Herjourneys took her not only to places of interest and excitement but also to those that required endurance and strength.
Mixing with the various cultures created a hands on knowledge that she incorporates into her books. To her credits, Sylvia has written fashion articles for the Los Angeles Times as well as script runs for fashion shows.
Fraley has created lay-outs for various advertising agencies and numerous free-lance projects. Making her home in the Ozarks by a very large lake, Sylvia enjoys outdoor activities as well as traveling and, of course, writing books that are, like the life she has lived, filled with exciting events and unexpected endings.

Ronald 'Buddy' Walkshorse

Ron is a caring and laid back type of person. He is Lakota Sioux Navy Vietnam Veteran, A.I.M.Member (Knee of ‘73 Veteran), Traditional American Indian Dancer and Professional Firefi ghter. He enjoys writing, painting and Western history and has degrees in Archeology and Art. Ron is of Welsh/Irish and Oglala Sioux Indian decent.
Ron has also been involved in the motion picture business since he was a small boy working on many productions on location in
and props that are thrown out or simply discarded by the major studios, then cleans and restores these items to be displayed free of charge to the public at various film festivals, Western events and other gatherings. Many
