The teleconference rooms in the safe houses that Cobra had purchased ten years ago were equipped with state of the art video and audio systems. As always, he would appear as a shadow, so no one would be able to see his face. His voice was always muffled to ensure that his disguise would maintain his complete anonymity. None of the primary members or members of his staff had ever seen him in person. All of the primary memebers, now in place around the world, were milling around waiting for his call to find out the status of the intrusion and what the next steps would be to make sure that the potential for a leak in the organization would be squelched.
"This is Cobra. To get to the first point of business, three secondary members have been eliminated. Two worked in the Houston area and one in College Station, Texas. Mountain Man and Mountain Woman, the one in College Station was your contact for the telecommunications portion of our southern business. The other two from Houston were both direct reports to Space Man. One was for our drug trafficking business; he was eliminated because he had been skimming from the profits. The other one was the person who advised us of the government contact activity and according to my information may have tried to access our system without the required passwords. We will need to start the process to replace these positions as soon as possible. Until these replacements are complete, I expect each of you that are directly involved, to make sure that their business continues to function at the financial levels they achieve today, especially the drug portion in Houston."

This is a true story, in my mind! It just hasn't happened YET!
Today, the seven deadly sins of pride, greed, lust, envy, anger, sloth, and gluttony are consuming morality like a juggernaut. Cultures and societies are being misled by so-called leaders of local, state, and national govenments around the world, which is allowing corruption to consume the very fabric of our basic instincts.
A group of 12 people were brought together through fate, to develop a plan and implement a secret system to put an end to an all encompassing virus of humanity. They were destined to find each other through a vision from a dying victim of a manical man, named Cobra, who exploited those who have fallen into various traps and addictions.
About the Author
The author in today's world would be characterized as a defiant perfectionist,a bankrupt idealist, a dreamer who never followed through with his dreams, an egocentric who is overly sensitive, a person born into a culture that he has never fit into, and somewhat warped. But who enjoys creating from the inside or the id. A retired engineer who always wanted to write to be able to express my vision of what happens when we abuse the greatest gift we have been given, free will.
Although this is all fiction, I included events that are occurring and will continue to spiral out of control on our little rock in this vast universe.
There is no intent on my part nor hidden motive to change the world as the result of this writing, but hopefully anyone who reads this book will laugh from time to time, shed a sincere tear now and then, and be as grateful as I am to be alive today.
