This book contains recipes that are safe and tasty for someone with peanut, tree nut, milk, egg, fish, and shellfish allergies. Children living with food allergies should be able to enjoy birthday cakes, cookies, pancakes, muffins, appetizers, and new ideas for dinner. Not only are the recipes safe for someone with the listed food allergies, but they are also great for those who are avoiding dairy and/or egg in their diet. My family lives with avoiding six of the top-eight food allergens daily. My heart goes out to children and adults that have to be very careful about what they consume. In addition, I know it is challenging to be a parent of a child with food allergies. The recipes in this book will allow your family to enjoy great meals together, celebrate special occasions with cakes, and most importantly, allow the individual with food allergies to feel included!
About the Author
Melanie Schiraldi is a wife and mother of two children: a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son. She has been primarily a stay-at-home mom since her daughter was born. Prior to becoming a mother, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science, concentrating in finance. She held positions with an international shipping company, a bank and a newspaper before starting her family. Melanie is also a dog lover. Their family has a loving Bichon Frisé. She was born in Richmond, Virginia where they are currently raising their young family.
