Chapter One- My Familia Tree
Introduction
It all started with my mother Rosa J. Cain meeting my father Edward Jackson. My mother was born from Harriet Hamler (Indian woman) and Robert Harvey Cain (Jamaican/Indian), West Virginia. My grandma (Cain) was married and with child at about the age of fourteen by my grandpa; which was about twenty-five years old or so. Grandpa and grandma had seven children among each other; “Nee-tee”, “Big Jim”, “Sunny”, ”Trish”, ”Buddy”, “Howdy”, and of course my mother, “Jeannie”! My mom told me a story that I would never forget about my grandparents that didn’t change that way that I looked at them but just learned from others mistakes! My grandma Cain had nursed my grandpa during his battle fighting colon cancer but his last dying words to my grandma was him calling out his mistress name!! I learned never to put your soul into a relationship you would surely get burned (noticed I didn’t say that I wouldn’t put my heart into it, though)!
On my dad’s side of the family he was born to Henrietta Duhart (Creole woman) which had my dad first (in the state of Florida) with a Cuban sailor! Later she met Richard Jackson (when my dad was about six years of age) which is my dad’s step father! Why I worded it in that manner is because from what I’ve heard he was an asshole towards my dad as a child; in addition to enforcing strictness only to my dad but not Richard Jr.!! The killer part of it all is that his mother allowed all of these things to go on in her home! Yeah, that is just a sneak peek at the dysfunction on both sides of my family tree; hell, whose family doesn’t have some type of scandal! Whether it is a slave, adultery, pedophile, thief, liars, unclaimed children, and so on and so forth; I have just about heard them all from diverse cultures and many people!!
I was born on February 11, 1978 to the parents Edward and Ramona Jackson: Lynwood, CA. Ramona gave birth to two children (both girls), I was born first; my name is Angela W.L. Jackson. Mom had told me that when she first looked me in my eyes she said that she seen an ‘Old spirit’. My little sister Tamara Y. Jackson is the youngest out of all of daddy’s four children!! It was rumored that dad may have six children including myself, though! I have noticed a pattern in many families (including my own), that life situations and generational curses re-appear its ugly head over and over again; until someone is brave enough to put a stop to the madness! I have taken the opportunity to do so, some people may say it is courage but to me it is a necessity to further empower the next generation! The negativity of relationships stops here within my own immediate family.
