About the Author

The author is now almost in his dotage. His mother had taught him to read and write by the time he was three years old and he was already reading newspapers and writing short stories by the age of three. At primary school he flourished and won the class prize every year. Particularly prominant at this time was his production of imaginative prose and some poetry. Having gained the 11+ examination he went to an all-boarding Grammar School. From the age of eleven he contributed articles to the termly school magazine and found himself in print. Later on he was secretary of the Senior Debating Society and again wrote articles for the weekly school newsletter on the motions argued. He went on to study Mathematics at Cambridge where he did not pull his weight and emerged with a poor degree.

The author contributed to a number of periodicals on a voluntary basis and eventually set up his own monthly newssheet which he largely wrote himself.

The current book, 'A Question of Motive' is his first attempt at a novel.
