Denise is a Registered Nurse and currently resides in the Columbia, SC area with her husband. She has spent the last 28 years as an Obstetrical nurse, specializing in Labor & Delivery and as a patient educator. Experiencing motherhood as an African American teen, her passion continues to advance efforts in providing education and support to other African American pregnant and parenting teens. Denise is founder and owner of Matters of Motherhood, LLC, a company solely committed to providing a comprehensive approach to preparing young African American teens and young adults for motherhood.
