About the Author
Bitsy Barr and her daughter Barr Houston have knitted these toddler-sized soccer-player dolls for boys for very nearly 40 years, and she now has been inspired to photograph and write about them. A first children's book for Barr, her writing efforts up until now have been newspaper articles, poetry commemorating family events and small books (mostly in limericks and illustrated in watercolor by her daughter, Sarah Wood) about family EVENTS and published for the amusement of family members. Barr lives in Livingston, Texas with her most tolerant, loving and supportive husband-of-25-years Ron Boggess.
