About the Book

Whispers of the Green Dove is a collection of poems written

over a period of five years. It is an attempt to awaken our

droning consciences to those facts of life and values that make

us “human beings”, but which we may have unconsciously

been shutting out of our minds or deleting from our daily

lives. Each piece in this collection expounds and stresses those

waning facts and values in a way that the reader will enjoy his

reading while reflecting on the ideals of life.

The poems are arranged in three parts. The first part is a

general reflection on the basic essence and tenets of life,

while the second part dwells more on the dark side of life;

the disappointments, intrigues and challenges that trail life

and living. The final part further exposes the author’s inner

thoughts and feelings about life and the way we live it. The

parts and individual poems can be read in any order depending

on the reader’s preferences.

Each piece in this collection ultimately echoes the fact that

we are what we make of ourselves. The choice of good and

evil is ours to make. Only a conscious resolve to do the right

things and concerted effort to abide by laid down principles

will salvage our “being” and “humanity” and make our world

a better place.
